The Metro / trains are in general pretty safe, I agree with Yannick about valuables though. Make sure your phone, wallet, purse are all in places where you have good control of them and not somewhere easy for pick pockets. The same care should be taken in most cities, so its not just Paris!

Newbie at JEC World: What are your tips?

Hi I'm Jenny, community manager with Modulus. I've never been to JEC World before and am excited to attend. For those of you who have been before, can you share some tips and tricks for getting the most out of the event?

@jennydempsey couple of points I would recommend for you: 1, Shoes - don’t wear new shoes. Make sure your shoes are broken in and maybe have more than one pair, lots of walking around. 2, Plan your meetings - big show and scooting from one hall to the other will waste a lot of time and add to your step count. 3, Make time for the meetings - it takes time to find people and walk around the place. Don’t make back to back meetings as you will miss opportunities to meet and to talk to people about stuff you see when moving around the show. 4, Visit the pods and other smaller areas, sometime you find some great information or examples in these areas. Enjoy the show, longs days, long evenings, but an enjoyable event.

This was a great machine for the NCC but we have designs with up to 9 axis or high tension winders for over wrap of motors and shafts.

Proliferation of Propellers Drives CFRP Blade Production

This prompted two thoughts: Firstly, a half million propellers is quite a lot of carbon fiber, where is all this new volume going to come from? If the vehicles and the blades are driving this kind of growth, I hope the CF manufacturers and the pre preggers are building the plant and equipment to cover these type of products. Secondly, there has also been a lot of glass fiber used in these products in the past for things like higher impact strength for leading edges if nothing else.
