David Tilbrook

With over 25 years of experience in polymer science, advanced materials, and lightweight transportation, I am a Senior Technical Fellow and Strategic Research Manager at Hexcel Corporation, a global leader in advanced composites technology. I have a PhD in Polymer Chemistry from the University of Surrey and I am fluent in English and French. In my current role, I lead the acquisition of new technologies and capabilities for next generation composites, working closely with senior managers, business development, and technical teams across Hexcel's composite businesses. I also define and execute strategic research themes and projects to address future challenges and opportunities in the aerospace, energy, and recreational sectors. I have a track record of delivering high-value products and innovations to the market, such as the prepregs and adhesives for the Airbus A350XWB program. I am passionate about creating long-lasting value and impact through scientific excellence, collaboration, and customer focus.
